Olivia Saunders knows this because everyone says so.

So why is everything starting to fall apart?

Why is her dog barking at empty rooms? Why are strange black dots appearing — and moving — inside her home? Why do the nights feel longer… and something out there feel closer?

Then a strange boy named Edgar Trunk arrives.

He sees and feels things Olivia doesn't — as if he's attuned to something deeper within the town itself. Together, they begin to unravel the mystery of Pleasanton, uncovering a larger connection to the Darkness, while shedding light on the events of the past.
